This was a fantastic book. I still can’t believe that it was free when I have paid at least $7.99 for a paperback and more for a hardcover book that was not as good. A wonderful first book for this author.

Since purchasing my Kindle, I have discovered a whole new world of free eBooks and self publisher writers. Black Silk by Jan Gordon was one of them. Jan has created this wonderful love story between Vic and Cole with very realistic paranormal twist. I have never really equated price with quality as I have paid a lot of money for a newly released hardcover from authors that always make the Best Seller’s List and their work was substandard. It takes a lot of courage to put your work out there for everyone to see. Thank you Jan for not only having the courage to put it out there but for sharing your creative gift with all of us!

Ms Gordon’s book is a mélange or mix of the paranormal, romance, and suspense. The combination of these genres makes for a delightful and entertaining story. The two main characters are so engaging that you can’t help liking them and get involved in their lives

This is a different take on paranormal romance, and it’s refreshingly original. The world that the author created is well worth pursuing. Hopefully there will be more to come, because I want to learn more about these people and the world they inhabit.

A well-paced romance with two very likeable leads. If you enjoyed the Twilight series you’re sure to enjoy Black Silk.
